Textile Artisan

My interest in textile arts began during my studies as an interior designer. After working in furniture design, I took a big step back to reconnect with my desire to create art and reavaluate the direction of my design career. I have chosen a path in line with artisanal textile design. Alongside building a personal brand, I am now a part time student at Concordia University studying textile arts. I also work as a textile hand dyer for a small studio producing yarn products for knitting and crochet.

Furniture Design

I spent the first few years of my career as a designer in the home furniture industry. My role was to design collections of home products, including furniture, lighting and textile accessories.  During my work experience, I aimed to represent the company brand identity in addition to developing my individual design aesthetic. I grew a love for modern, mid-century and art deco design styles which resonates in my current artwork style.

Career Goal

I am seeking to explore the textile and performance art industries. I will expand my design experience with a focus on handcrafted skills, such as print making, dyeing and weaving. I want to share the experience of art creation to inspire others in the pursuit of curiosity, self expression and joy.
